Well guys, your interview made it to the Reno Gazette-Journal and I read it online this morning. Very very cool what you are doing and what I find particulary fun and interesting is that while obviously I had never heard of you and your adventures before, I myself have recently put into motion the necessities of buttoning up my current life and will embark on my own gypsy adventure. In pretty much the same mindset of the reasonings you described, I was looking and waiting to see "what was next" for me and lo and behold, last July I figured it out. Just go. I however, am 47, divorced, have recently seen both my kids out on their own (so to speak) and have no desire to sit in my hometown and work and get to take the occasional vacation. Just go. OK!! So, I will ask you (rather that reading your entire history just yet) where you've been so far that you would put on your top 10 list in the US (besides Black Rock City - yes that's home to me too once a year and there's too much to discuss to get into it just now). I will also, differently from you, be working my way through my journey - partly cause I'll need to support myself and partly to better experience the places I will find myself in. I volunteered at the Bridge to Bridge Run in SF this morning with my Fraternity Alpha Phi Omega (national co-ed service fraternity) and in our attempt to follow each other out to head to our next event, our meeting spot was "by the purple bus". We parked there and thats when i first heard of you guys. We sat there and read items on your list and i remember being struck by "riding an elephant" and knew that was something i wanted to do before i die. "it’s easy to lose sight of your dreams when all you look at are the obstacles" it is something i fear everyday. I'm a year away from graduating and getting thrown into a full fledge career and i fear that i will get caught up in obstacles, bills, everyday responsibilities and lose sight of my bigger picture of Changing the world and really living the life i want to lead. I'm so thankful that there are people like you guys who are a source of encouragement to always find a way back to the importance of life, goals, and passion. thanks!

I saw yall's article in Brass and it's inspired me to start a list of my own! I'm not sure when I'll be able to start creating it seeing as how I've got graduation stuffs coming up so I'm pretty busy. But I think this is a great something to embark on, especially with me starting college in the fall. I lost a classmate of mine last month and it tought me that life is too short to be afraid to go after what you want. You four have captured my life's motto in the form of a very thought provoking question. "If you want to walk on water you have to get out of the boat!" (a book that changed my life by John Ortberg) has become that motto for me. You are getting out of your boat and making life happen rather than letting life come at you. Hi my name is Sara and growing up my nickname was Scarie. Mainly because I was scared of so many things. Last night I had the most vivid dream about crows and how they were flocking to my yard. I felt so frightened for my life. So it was toally weird running across what you are doing. I'm amazed at how well every thing seems to be turning out in favor of your project. Something I had on my list was to bungeejump. Well I had to settle for 175 ft drop from the SkyFlyer at Canadas Wonderland just north of Toronto. I was so nervous I cried when they hooked me up, but afterwords I had a grin on my face from ear to ear for weeks. Another thing I have on my list would be karaoke. perhaps this summer. Hey guys, I love what you are doing. I've taken the liberty of fully making my own list, except I only made 10 things, seeing as if I had 100 things, it wouldn't ever happen for me. I did a slightly similar trip in 2007 where I asked people on the Internet to drive, house, and feed me around the US for 80 days as a way to promote trust between strangers. Not gonna lie. I started watching this because one night I had nothing to watch and was channel surfing. Immediatly, I found an imspiration like no other at how y'all attacked tasks with guts even if there was a hint of fear involved. I only have one thing I really wanna do before I die. Hey guys! After watching the same old, reality TV. junk on MTV, the trailer for your show came on, and immediately, I knew what my Monday nights would consist of. Your show has inspired thousands of people to think about their own lives, and it's so refreshing to see a couple of normal guys do something abnormal, and incredibly brave. My friends and I are close to your age, and it's great to know that there are young people out there who have just said "screw it, I'm going to actually live my life to the fullest"; usually when people come to that conclusion, they're close to the end of the road. It's great you've started doing this early enough to where it truly is possible to do everything on your list, and still have time left over to continue that list. I have my own list of "100 things" (which has now turned into 102) and slowly but surely (since 2000) have been crossing them off (21 down). I think what you guys are doing is amazing and wish y'all the best of luck. I’m 22 and most days just feel like a rehearsal for when my real life begins. I’m at medical school in England and have a year left to graduate as a doctor, when my real life will begin, I’m told. I love raves, festivals, literature, being whimsical, not looking at my watch, running to feel real and dancing to feel imagined but I feel suffocated- will this "me" die when "my real life begins"? Not without a fight… Iv decided to interrupt my medical degree for a year to get a masters in public health and humanitarian aid (it’s on my list to go on a MSF mission some day). Some of the course is in Geneva, Switzerland but most of it is online so I can be anywhere in the world. I came across your site, your ideas, your energy and Iv been inspired to get on with my list. You guys are amazing; thanks for making me feel like I can live in the moment and for reminding me that “impossible” is irrelevant as happiness is in the doing. My fav. achievements have been to experience Tibet and trek the Amazon Rainforest and Id most like to skydive and learn how to swim. I’m going to keep finding ways to realize my dreams as long as this philosophy makes me smile=] xxx

Hey I just wanted to say that i’m a new fan as of the premier on mtv, but i love what you guys are doing. Its truly inspirational and I cant wait for a new episode to air every monday and I wish that you could show all 100 being crossed off. Now i realize that you guys are from canada and that throwing a pitch out at a major league baseball game is on your list, but i’m from omaha, nebraska where the college world series is held and i think it would awesome if you threw out a pitch at final game in rosenblatt stadium. Because rosenblatt is being torn down this year to make a new stadium, and rosenblatt has held the cws for the past 20 so years and around here its the biggest thing us kids can look forward to every summer. While reading this i could not help but think about the one close friend i have. She is by far the most warm hearted and caring person iv ever meet in my life. In the course of the 4 years shes been in high school i have watched her life change, and transform into a complete depressed wreck at only the age of 18, i wish there was more people like you out there to show my friend that life doesn’t always have to screw you up, and there’s something good in everything.

I have watched your show from the beginning and have seen every episode thus far. I am twenty and already a mother to one little boy and am expecting my second son June 6th. I had thought that my days of dreaming and all of those things I’d always said I’d wanted to do before I died had to be put on the back burner until my children were grown, then my diagnosis of cervical cancer came. To top it off I also have had Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 13, so I realize now just how little and valuable the time is that I have left. I stumbled across #13-Help someone build a house and knew that I could help.

For the past 5 years, I have been going to Piedras Negras, Mexico to help an organization called Constructores Para Cristo (www.cpcmexico.org) that is trying to reverse the cycle of poverty in this town. We have a construction ministry, pre-school, health clinic, and a vet clinic.

Last summer, I was down there for 5 weeks as a staff member and plan to go back this summer for 7 weeks. We build up to 30 or 40 houses every summer and if you guys are interested, I can talk to my boss and see what you guys can do with us.

I really want to help get this ministry out because I am incredibly passionate about this ministry and it has changed my life. It has allowed me to see Christ and that has been able to be my true release.

Hey I just wanted to say that I love your show, I have never missed an episode. I have always tried to make a list of what I want to do before I die, but I have ether never finished the list or never stuck to it. Well now seeing that any one can really do what they want if they go for. My friends and I have decided to make our last couple of months in high school and in our little town a little more exciting, we have created 10 things that we want to do before we graduate, I know that this isnt as big as your list but it is something that we can look back and say that we did, and know that our last couple of months were fun. First off i want to say i have been following you guys since you appeared on Adam Carolla’s Podcast and i think what you’re doing is really worth while. I really want to see you guys play with Obama, and ever since that episode i was really looking to see what i could do to help you guys out with that one because that looks like the hardest one on your list other than kissing Rachel McAdams (who wouldn’t btw). You just have to get noticed and now that your on the air you’ll have a little more credibility. I would also say you should add four more things to the list like try to get back onto all the late night shows. I know you could probably get onto at least two with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel through Adam Carolla. I know he has both of their ears and you guys already spoke to him before. I think it might not be as easy as just calling him up but you never know; half the thing you couldn’t have done unless you just bit your lip and tried it. Just my two cents worth.

Hey guys what’s up, my name is Olivia, and I just wanted to tell you that I love your show, and that everything you do brings hope to me. But when you say anything is possible, I don’t believe that’s true. There are certain things in peoples lives that prevent them from doing the things they want to do before they die. Like me, My biggest dream is to be a scout sniper for the Marine Corps. And as much as it pains me to say this, it’ll never happen. Reason one, is because females are not allowed to have certain infantry jobs in the marine corps, and being a sniper is not possible for a female. And I’ve gotten past that and thought hey I can always get a different job in the Marines, but no. I have psoriasis, and exzema, two skin diseases which are frowned upon, and prevent me from even joining the marines. I think it is stupid that just because I have a mere skin disease, it prevents me from doing something as in saving the world. In no way shape or form does having either of these skin diseases prevent me from doing to every day tasks anyone else can perform. I can run, jump, skip, crawl, as well as the next person. So the reason I can’t join the marines is way past me. So yeah, I just wanted to clear this that everything is not possible. Not trying to bash you guys because I really love your show, it’s just reality.

I think what you’re doing is amazing(all of you guys). I absolutely love your show! What you’re doing for others is what I admire the most. Also, stepping out of your comfort zone’s and going after the unthinkable to most is great! When you sent Queen to Denver to visit her Mothers gravesite, I have to say that was by far the most emotional for Me..I cried sooo much when that episode aired! I am definitely a dedicated fan which is why I Record alllll the episodes ;-). I cannot wait for the next newest season. And i love the opening message to the show because if I can be totally honest I do think that I’d lose my drive if I felt I had my entire life to go after everything I wanted to do in life. Your project reminds me of Pay it Forward with Kevin Spacey and it often makes me think of the Bucket List. I haven’t started my list yet but what I really want to do is go to college and make something of myself. I’ve had minor setbacks since graduating a few years ago but it only makes me a stronger person! I’m actaully watching your re-runs on MTV right now! Ha..You guys are great, gorgeous and Inspiring. Hey guys! You four are my inspiration in life. I can’t stop watching your show, and all of the reruns. What you are doing is amazing, and mind-boggling all at the same time. I had heard about your show on MTV and finally got around to watching it today. The first episode I watched was the one where you helped Sam reunite with his son, and I cried my eyes out. Then you helped Queen see her mom’s gravesite for the first time. I cried even more. Thanks for sticking to what you wanted to do and never giving up. This is the greatest show ever made. It’s funny, but at the same time you guys are sending a message to us teens, that we can achieve anything we want to do. I love that you guys have things that are just fun, but then things that will affect a large amount of people. I hope there is a season two!

Wow…that’s really all I’ve got to say. Sitting around sick at home I found your show on tv and started watching it, thinking I’d only watch an episode to see what it was all about. Turns out I watched 4 and at the end wished there was a TBL marathon to keep me entertained all day. Very inspiring and a fantastic idea, I’m planning on making up a list myself and starting to check things off as I complete them! Awesome work and I can’t wait for more!

how do you decide what the most meaningful thing to do before you is without making the people in your life feel as though they have stepped in your way? I am 30 ok not really, I’m 33 and had a child at 18. Much later got married to a wonderful man but sometimes I feel as though I want to get on a big purple bus hehe and go for it. You guys are awesome! Enjoy every minute…add more than 100…you need like 1000 things to do before you die…think about it!

Hey guys, I don’t know where your planning on going for you summer (Canada or U.S). But I live in a small town called Fernie B.C in the Rocky mountains. And if you guys are looking for a summer destination in Canada I think you would enjoy a visit here. The town maybe really small but it it in the most beautiful place in the world. You can mountain bike, hike to some back country waterfalls, and mountain lakes with cliff jumping and stand on the top of a mountain. You guys have really inspired me to start really living my life and I would love to share with you guys this place where I can do things that really make me feel alive.

TBL is my life. These four guys are my heroes: they help people and live their lives. I would die if I could meet them. I can’t wait for season 2!

This is one of the few shows on television that seems to have a realistic message to it. Every episode moves me in a different way and I’m not ashamed to admit to waiting anxiously for each new adventure :) I’m working on my own list now, and one of the items is to buy a round of drinks for The Buried Life Crew; let’s see if that one ever happens. If you ever feel like vacationing in PR, don’t hesitate to drop a line because good times are guaranteed. Is it weird that I’m a 49 year old mom of 3 girls and I LOVE your show?? When my 14 y/o daughter talks about Ben, Duncan, Jonnie, or Dave, I actually know who she’s talking about! Hey guys, the minute I saw the trailer for the show I was immediately hooked. This is the kind of thing I had been looking for. The natural life of dealing with rotten people, stressing about your career, or who you will be in 20 years, can all be forgotten just by pursuing a darn list.
